Childrens Classes

Wee Dance (Ages 2-3 & guardian)

This is an introduction to the art of dance in a nurturing environment ideal for children ages two to three. Parents or caregivers attend and are participants. Imaginative exercises present an outlet for active minds and bodies. Through the use of shakers, scarves, balls, and beanie babies, children will experience the pure joy of movement! The class is thirty minutes.

Creative Movement 1 (Ages 4-5)

Children age four and five develop increased body awareness, gross motor skills, and phrasing while giving imagination a time to flourish! Classes begin with warm-up exercises and stretches that develop flexibility and posture. The class then moves on to center-floor exercises to develop balance, rhythm, and coordination. Creative Movement 1 is thirty minutes.

Boys Skills and Strength-

Boys ages 4-7. Class covers mobility, locomotor skills, agility, strengthening and flexibility through playful song and imaginative games.

Teen Ballet and Intro to Modern Dance

(Ages 12+)

This class is designed to meet individuals whether they are brand new on the dance floor, or have been dancing for years and want to brush up on their foundational techniques.. The class will be split in two segments consisting of a ballet barre/center and foundational modern dance concepts that grow from Lester Horton and Martha Graham technique. This class is 60 minutes long.

Warrior Class

In our Warrior class your little man will develop locomotor skills with grace, strengthen balance, gain agility, work on rhythm and flexibility.

Foundations of Music

Foundations of Music is a class for 3-5yr olds that combines singing, movement, rhythmic speaking, and visual/auditory games. Through the course of the class we will introduce basic music terminology and introductory note reading. Your little ones will come away with an excitement for understanding pitch, beat, musical interpretation, and much more.

Ballet Program

Classical ballet is designed for students of all ages, with a special focus on those aged 6 and above. At each level, the curriculum focuses on proper alignment of the skeletal structure, posture, strength and stretch of the legs and feet, arm carriage, flexibility, and musicality.

Levels and Class Descriptions

Pre-ballet (Ages 6-7)

A prelude to formal ballet instruction, students age six will develop a foundation for ballet technique in a learning environment that fosters a love for dance and music. Students begin to learn French vocabulary, exercises that introduce “ballet barre” and proper ballet etiquette in a non-competitive atmosphere. It is a forty-five-minute class.

Level 1 (Ages 7 and above)

Students in this level are seven years or older. In this class, they learn the basic ballet positions, the progression of a standard ballet barre, and the French vocabulary that makes up ballet. These students also move into beginning center work, away from the support of the ballet barre. The class meets for one hour per week.

Adult Movement

Barre Stretch

Join us on the mat for a slow flow class that will feel like pilataes, yoga and barre all muddled together in a sweet low-key atmosphere. No experience, just come relax and move with us!

Beginning Ballet

If you’re an adult who has always wanted to stand at the ballet barre, or maybe return to it after decades away – come join us. This hour long class is designed for the absolute beginner and will cover the foundation of ballet and give you the tools you need to have the posture and grace of a dancer.
